San Francisco: It has been reported that a new feature will soon be introduced on the WhatsApp messenger site for users to delete groups they don’t use. With this, users can save their smartphone storage memory.
About 200 crore users are using WhatsApp Messenger worldwide. The site is used to send text messages, photos, videos, audio and calls. From schools to offices, groups are now exchanging information through one-to-one and one-to-many.
Meta Company WhatsApp regularly introduces new updates and features to provide unique user satisfaction to their users. It is reported that the feature called ‘Expiring Groups’ has been introduced on this site. This was reported by Wabetainfo, which follows developments on WhatsApp. With this, users can identify and delete WhatsApp groups they don’t use.
For example, in today’s tech age, creating groups on WhatsApp is a way to remember birthdays, weddings, treats etc. among friends and relatives. After its use, the group remains unused and active. It will not contain any message. So the app space of the phone will be occupied. This new feature helps to eliminate that.
This allows users to pre-plan when they can delete that group from their app. It can be determined on daily, weekly and monthly basis. Users will get a notification when the group expires. Based on that users can make a final decision about that group. It is currently under development.
